A script to help aid in the backlight issue on many laptops, this script is used in conjunction with nvidiabl driver found here…

The primary functions for this script is to bridge the non working function(Fn) Button functionality experienced on some models when using the nvidiabl driver in conjunction with nVidia graphics drivers.

This script is currently only works on Sony laptops but if desired we will make it work on more laptop models, all we need is some information from you.

Sony Vaio VPCCW1S1E with openSUSE 11.2, 11.3 & 11.4

    Hi David.

    Thanks for using this script.

    I think that the default values in the script might be wrong for your setup, have you tried changing to the other one described under documentation for oBacklight?

    The issue with brightness could be a result of the above settings, so test the other ones and see how that works for you.
